For TATA Motors, BS6 migration not only meant meeting emission norms but also increasing competitiveness of the products by creating higher value for customers. As part of this commitment to the customers, the Tata Intra V10 BS6 and Tata Intra V30 BS6 range of pickups were launched. These BS6 pickups follow the new emission norms put forth by the Government of India & emit lesser pollutants like Hydrocarbons (HC), Particulate Matter (PM) and Nitrogen Oxide(NO_x).

While still compact in size, everything else about the new Tata Intra BS6 Intra pickups is bigger and a whole lot better. In short, they pack-in the Promise of 6 i.e. Bigger Vehicle, Bigger Power, Bigger Performance, Bigger Comfort, Bigger Savings and Bigger Earnings.

Bigger Vehicle (Badi Gadi)
Intra range of pickups have a large & wide loading area which facilitates owners to load more cargo, earn extra revenue, and enhance profits. Intra V10 is most suitable for moderate load & moderate leas applications whereas Intra V30 is most suitable for long load & high load applications ensuring more earning, and quicker ROI. Bigger& wider aspect ratio tyres ensure deployability in varied terrains (kutcha & pukka roads) and longer tyre life.

Big on Power (Badi Taakat)
Tata Intra V10 is powered by a 2-Cylinder, 798 cm3 DI engine that offers an output of 33kW (44 HP) and torque of 110 Nm whereas Tata Intra V30 Smart Pickup is powered by a 4 cylinder 1 496 cm3 DI engine with a power output of 52 kW (70 HP) & 140 Nm torque. While the Intra V30 can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in a mere 13.86 seconds, Intra V10 can achieve the same feat in 18 seconds. Chassis frame has been manufactured using hydroforming process. There are fewer welding joints on the chassis meaning higher structural strength, more durability and lower NVH levels. The front cross member is right behind the front bumper which ensures that the occupants are completely safe in case of a frontal collision.

Big on Performance (Badi Performance)
Intra range of pickups has semi elliptical leaf spring suspension allowing for deployability in a variety of applications. Intra V10 has 6 leaves in the front &, 7 leaves in the rear whereas Intra V30 has 5 leaves in the front & 8 leaves in the rear. A ground clearance of 175 mm means enhanced capability to manoeuvre even in poor road conditions. Best-in-class gradebility helps in negotiating steep ghat roads and flyovers with ease even in loaded conditions.

Big on Comfort (Bada Aaram)
Intra range of pickups have a new gen walk through cabin. The wider cabin offers more cabin space for comfortable long drives. Comfortable seats not only ensure relaxed driving experience but also offer a good resting experience. Electric Power Assisted Steering is offered as a standard fitment across variants which eases the effort taken to maneuver the vehicle while driving through traffic conditions. A smaller turning circle radius further enhances the maneuverability while taking sharp turns. Ergonomically positioned steering wheel, switches, ABC pedals etc. make longer drives comfortable and tireless. Dashboard mounted gear lever with cable shift mechanism further adds to the pleasurable driving experience.

Big on Savings (Badi Bachhat)
Intra range of pickups come with many value enhancers. The pickups have two driving modes: ECO and NORMAL. Driver can switch to ECO mode via a button on the dashboard for deriving better fuel economy. NORMAL mode can be used for steep gradients, loaded conditions, frequent braking/city traffic depending on driving condition etc. GSA indicates the optimum point for shifting gears (using arrows) on the instrument cluster. This helps to achieve optimum fuel efficiency & hence higher savings. The rugged & reliable aggregates ensure longevity & low maintenance cost. A warranty of 2 years or 72000 kms ensure complete peace of mind.
