Tata Yodha – Now Delivering the Power of 6
The concept of a pickup has remained largely unchanged over the years. A cabin for driver and co-driver, possibly an extra bench seat behind to rest on, or to transport crew, and a load-bed in the rear for goods. Seen traditionally as the workhorse of light-goods carriage, pickups are designed to be sturdy, dependable and are an invaluable ally in the final leg of movement for goods and crew from central hubs, right to the doorsteps of retailers and customers, and vice versa.
That’s the concept, but what about operating benefits? Lifetime cost of ownership? All these factors were seriously considered when the Government of India announced its intention to have the auto-industry transition to BS6 from April 2020. It is a much more stringent emissions standard to check rising pollution from vehicular exhausts and we welcome it.
When the Yodha Pickup was recalibrated for BS6, our aim was to lower the total cost of ownership (TCO) or improve revenue potential of fleet operators or, try and add value so that a Tata Yodha delivers top value to its owners. The philosophy of Tata Yodha Pickup is high on earnings and low on maintenance.
The Yodha Pickup range is built on six value pillars that put it ahead of competition. We call these advantages of the BS6 Tata Yodha, 6 ka Dum.
Dynamic Power – the Tata Yodha’s BS6 engine delivers 73.6 kW (100 HP) engine power and 250 Nm torque from 1000 to 2500 rpm, i.e. better drivability with flatter torque over wider rpm band.
Reliable Performance – With 210 mm ground clearance and 40% gradeability, the BS6 Yodha offers owners enhanced gradeability to suit a wide range of driving conditions.
Maximum Profits – With its internal cargo loading area of 47.9 sq. ft., capable of carrying a payload of up to 1700 kg, the Tata Yodha Pickup is optimised for profitability and is available in a range of variants to exactly suit your payload needs.
Comprehensive Safety – The Tata Yodha Pickup has a front-bonnet crumple zone, wider and bigger ORVM for better visibility, wider axles, and a collapsible steering wheel to ensure enhanced safety of occupants and goods.
Higher Savings – Yodha Pickup dashboards come with lengthy scheduled service intervals of 20,000 kms, combined with its Gear Shift Advisor (GSA) display and an Eco Switch for achieving optimum fuel efficiency, it delivers better-than-ever savings and mileage.
Superior Comfort – The Tata Yodha’s cabin with its flat laydown seats with headrests, high-utility dashboard and comfortable interiors must be experienced to be believed. It truly lessens driver fatigue with its superior ergonomics and features.
In short, the Tata Yodha Pickup has been upgraded from bumper to bumper - to grow your business to ever greater heights. Performance potential that is aptly called the POWER OF 6.
